Art to me is not a discipline,but a really satisfying journey. It allows me to explore and discover color and emotion and lets me literally “live” in a place that is completely me. Art is about “seeing”. I paint with my eyes and my heart. I don’t “teach”, I encourage you to be fearless in your feelings and ideas, to discover and test subjects and techniques. You are the creator.

I can paint in my own home, when I want, for as long as I want. Mostly I can decide what I want to paint, how I want it to look, and I can feel free to create techniques as well as images. I never feel as if I am going to be tested. I don’t have to please anyone but myself. I look forward to painting and so happy when something happens on the canvas that I didn’t plan but is even better than I could have imagined.
