Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would talk to the students to find out their experience in photography and teach according to that experience. There is no need to start with teaching how a camera works if the student already understands.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have opperated a glamour and boudoir photography studio since 2011 and received a high honors degree from the College of Southeren Nevada in Commercial Photography.
I have also taught in the Clark County School District, so I am familiar to preparing lessons and educating.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is $40 per each 1 hour classes.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching with the school districrt in 2013 as a substitute teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly elementry students as well as some high schoolers and adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I absolutely support the "me too" movement that is so strong now. It is wonderful that women are using their voice to be heard regarding sexual harassment and assault, and empowering other women to do the same.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I am very knowledgeable in photography and have the experience to teach you the important things you must learn to become proficient in photography, without boring you on teaching you things that you will rarely use.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself what you expect to get out of this learning experience. Are you wanting to casually learn photography, are you wanting to learn certain concepts, do you want to learn as much as you can, are you wanting advice how to get models and clients, are you looking to start a photography business? All are good questions to get you started.
