I have been an industry professional since 2006 in Las Vegas. My primary focus for the past 12 years has been in the wedding industry. Prior to that I have photographed just about everything you could think of from portraits, corporate functions, pets, editorial, lifestyle and much more.
My passion for teaching is only exceeded by the want for my students to grasp all of the aspects of their own photography passion
I really enjoy teaching those that have the motivation to want to learn and hone their skills to be better at what they do. I am passionate about what I teach my students and want to make sure that their understanding of what I teach them makes sense.
I feel that it is my obligation to send students out into the world with as much knowledge in photography so that they can have the confidence to tackle any situation they might be put in.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on their level of photography knowledge, I like to teach hands on rather than from a textbook. Using a camera in the real world, I feel, helps speed up the learning process.
Plus, the student gets to see immediate results in camera to what they have learned.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training consists of many years of trial and error shooting simple to complex images in a variety of settings and lighting. I think real world experience is the best teacher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I feel that my pricing is very reasonable. I teach in one month blocks. One (1) hour lesson per week. This means no contracts. I ask that the fee be paid up front for the month. If after each month you feel that you have learned what you need to learn or just want to stop taking lessons, you're able to do so with no future obligation.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a passion for teaching photography.
What types of students have you worked with?
My youngest student was 15 and my oldest student was in their 50's. Also both male and female. I have taught people who are just doing photography as a hobby and those that already had a basic knowledge of Photography but wanted to hone their skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would just make sure that you are a good fit and that you are not only getting some book learning but also hands-on photography work.
Also somebody that is going to challenge you somewhat to grow as a photographer.
You also want to make sure that you're having fun!
