Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First thing get in a solid warm up to get the muscles active and warm, moving into a small cone drill to get the quick feet moving. After the warm up and a quick rest, we will work on the main idea of the practice which will consist of about two to three drills working on concepts such as first touch, pass accuracy, awareness, on and off the ball movement, timing, etc. Ending with a shooting game or drill and ending with a stretch.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing soccer since the age of 3 years old, and started playing club soccer in Las Vegas at the age of 12 for Players SC. I played Varsity all four years for Sierra Vista High School, and received a scholarship to play for Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington. I recently played for the Las Vegas Legends which played in the NISA Nation league, and I am also still actively pursuing a professional career in soccer.
How did you get started teaching?
I started coaching at the Las Vegas Sports Park, coaching kids ages 3 to 16 years old. While playing for Peninsula College I had taken coaching classes as well as coached groups of kids ages 5-14. I have also helped players prepare for D1 and D2 college.
