I am an educated, professional guitar teacher and player, and owner of "A Note Above the Rest". I specialize in excellent communication with students of all ages, while addressing their specific musical needs. All styles, music theory, reading, ages 7+.
Currently, due to COVID, lessons are taught on line via FaceTime/Skype. Weekly 1/2 or 1 hour lessons. No sign up fees!
Guitar has been my lifelong passion for over 50 years. There is a great deal of joy in being able to pass on my knowledge onto others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I immediatly ask their name and introduce myself at their personal level. Question the students desire to play and ask if they have an affinity for particular style or artist. When working with beginning students, the foundation begins with the basics: String names, how to hold the guitar, and parts of the instrument. The first thing learned is a simple G chord to let the student know that the sound of the instrument in their hands is the most satisfying thing in the world. Love at first sight !
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started teaching in the mid 60's. I have studied at Berklee School of music, University of Arizona, UNLV, and have studied with great private teachers throughout this country over the past almost 60 years. I have gigged and taught in Las Vegas for the last 40 years and have many students who have continued with their weekly lessons for 10+ years

Weekly Lessons are $30.00 Per half hour, $50.00 Per hour.
