K&B Art Events
About
We provide step by step instructions for acrylic painting, drawing and craft workshops, to large and small groups of women. Our mission is to inspire, empower and educate our community through the creative process
It's very rewarding to see someone come to a workshop with few skills or knowledge and leave with a beautiful project that they have completed themselves! To see student painters grow their abilities right before my eyes is amazing! The feeling of accomplishment and confidence that people develop is very inspirational.

I started teaching to earn extra money during my college days. I began teaching at community school programs run by my city at local schools. I decided I really liked teaching others and formalized my teaching by becoming certified to teach school age students.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach painting, drawing and crafts to all age groups from children, teens, adults and seniors. I teach children through my day job, teens during summer break and adults/seniors through city recreation centers, art galleries, private parties, corporate team building and church retreats.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A painting workshop with several ladies for Valentine's Day. I offered two different paintings with beginner and intermediate skill levels. It was a lot of fun for everyone! The students paintings came out fabulously! Everyone was impressed with the finished product!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look at their website, look at their work. Communicate with them to find out if you have a connection. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Find someone who loves what they are doing, who is passionate about it and wants to share it with them!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much is the class? Will there be additional costs or time involved? Is the class in person or online? What type of techniques will they be learning? If it's in person does it include everything they need to complete the project? How long will it take to finish?
