    I have learned so much more than I ever expected working under Nelson’s tutelage. He is a true master. I never could have guessed that there were so many layers and nuances to painting. But when these techniques are used, what an incredible part they play with the end result. It is mind-boggling. I cherish the fact I have him as my teacher. I think there is no end to learning.     Es un excelente maestro de arte creo que de los pocos que reúne tres cualidades poco comunes a mi juicio personal. La primera: El don del magisterio, (sabe cómo enseñar y transmitir un conocimiento para que el contenido llegue a todo tipo de estudiantes), domina la pedagogía del arte y además disfruta enseñar. La segunda: es también un artista excelente, con sólida formación académica, muy versátil y domina diferentes técnicas como pintura, dibujo, diseño gráfico, grabado, escultura, etc. Por último y no menos importante su calidad humana, es una persona excelente: respetuosa, responsable y con muchos valores positivos.     When starting with a new student try to establish a real diagnosis of the student's artistic possibilities and abilities. This diagnosis allows me to customize a curriculum focused on the deficiencies and abilities of the student, in order to achieve the objectives pursued by the student more quickly and efficiently.   

    Completed studies: 

    Graduated as a Painter-Draftsman at the Professional School of Fine Arts El Alba, Holguín, Cuba. (1998).

    Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Higher Institute of Art, City of Havana Cuba. (2006).

    Specialties:

    Graphic Design, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and printmaking. Programs studied: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash.

    I usually charge 30 per session. A session lasts one hour but if it is necessary to extend the session a little longer, there will be no additional payments.  

    I started my work as an art teacher at the end of my university studies. It was my first job as a professional and I was lucky enough to start at the same art school where I started my artistic studies.

    My experience as an art teacher has allowed me to work with different ages, from teenagers to older adults.

    My advice to students who want to start training in the visual arts is to look for a teacher who in addition to teaching artistic techniques, will also teach them to think like artists. Art today is above all an intellectual work.

    The question every student should ask himself is how serious is art for him?

    The more serious you are, the further you will go in your career as an artist.
