About
Aside from our store, we are pleased to provide several services. We organize private Italian lessons (in person or online), we perform translations from English to Italian and vice versa (Lorena is the only northern Nevada translator listed with the jurisdictional Italian Consulate - Los Angeles).
We have been doing this service since 2009 and have several loyal students that have a fun learning experience and we have fun with them.
We are proud to say that our services are very affordable. Do not hesitate to contact us, for more info.

I have lots of fun and so do my students :)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with the new student in person and talk to him/her about their goals and study a work plan together
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am native of Italy, know my language and have been teaching it, privately, for almost 10 years
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a hourly amount per person; if there are 2 students coming together, the second student pays 30% less
How did you get started teaching?
A friend asked me if I could teach her some Italian and that's how it started. I found out that I LOVE it and have grown since

I have worked mainly with adult students; I tutored an independent learning college student and I also have a couple high school students I trained for AP Italian test
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Seeing the joy in my high school student getting the maximum grade for his AP test brought tears to my eyes!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that is very knowledgeable of the language but that also makes learning FUN: if you don't have fun, you're going to drop off
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What their goals are
How much time can they dedicate to studying
If they are willing to do homework
