About
I have been doing photography for over 20 years. I have been mentored by photographers who have their work in museums. I have taken all types of photos around the world including travel photos, horse photography, pets, animals, nature, realty, headshots, glamor, product photography, weddings, children, newborn, and the list goes on. I have taught one on one photography as well as group lessons. I have also taught photography to special needs clients.
I believe in teaching you how to take a photo rather than learning fancy names. I teach you the difference between seeing a subject through a lens and the naked eye. I teach you the importance of angles, perspective, lighting, color, and the discipline of each type of photography.
For example, the different ways you must photograph a horse depending on its breed and discipline. I cater my lessons to a client's individual needs.
I also teach you how to create an image from set up, taking the photo, and finally editing photos via Photoshop.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I create my lesson plan based on the individual needs of the client and their knowledge on the subject. Some clients want help learning the basics of photography, while others want help with a specific specialty like photographing products, realty photos, animals photos, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 4+ years of college and have taught high-school classes such as math, biology, and chemistry. I have taught competative dance ( jaz & hip hop) for many years.
I was mentored by amazing photographers and have taken multiple art classes to improve my editing skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on individual needs but I usually charge $50hr for private lessons and $25hr for group lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with complete beginners to photographers who want to specialize in a specific discipline or who are looking to add to their photographic resume. I have also taught special needs students the basics of photography and the use of Photoshop.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find out what area of photography their specialize in and have knowledge of the discipline you are trying to learn. For example, they may be amazing wedding photographers, but have no knowledge on horse or dog photography, which requires a totally different set of skills and knowledge.
