Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At first there is a typical assessment both physically and mentally. We first need to know the level of knowledge one knows of the game to be able to add on to talent.
it will typically start with rutine Q&A and possibly a physicall test weather permitting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education comes from a 20+ year backround in baseball from recreational to college baseball.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing varies, first meeting Q&A and physical aspect would be 40$ usually an hour long. First meeting are important due to comfortability and understanding.
1 hour lesson with a group is 40 dollars an hour not including batting cage rental fees and any other fees that may be associated with the training process.
1-1 lessons are 60 and hour with a 110$ 2 hour seasion with fees being separate.
there is a 2 hr max for each session, as the body needs to heal, after physical work outs, even mental work outs.
How did you get started teaching?
My father was a coach, i coached and trained my brothers, i was also captain of my highschool team and for my recreational team. I would like to spread my knowledge of the game out to those wishing to learn and to improve.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with my brothers, college athletes, kids and i have umpired the game of baseball.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice find a teacher who knows your talent who knows your skill, and who is willing to work with you through the good and the bad. One whos willing to push you. Baseball is a way of life it is also a measuring stick of how life will be moving forward. Life is just a game baseball is serious.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
they should ask anyband all questions and teachers should try there best to answer them. Baseball is a game of inches, and a game of decisions. There is no wrong answer, there is no stupid questions.
