Brooklyn Basketball Academy is a premier youth basketball school in NYC, offering exceptional training, expert coaching, and access to top-notch facilities. With its state-of-the-art facilities and highly qualified staff, it is renowned for providing high-quality basketball instruction to aspiring players.
We provide various programs to accommodate students with different skill levels and interests at Brooklyn Basketball Academy. For advanced level students, we offer travel teams to participate in competitive matches against other skilled players. Intermediate level students can join our in-house league teams, where they can develop their skills in a supportive and competitive setting. We also offer skills training for students of all levels to improve their basketball abilities. In addition, we organize holiday camps for all skills levels and weekend classes specifically tailored for beginners who are new to basketball.
Our goal is to create a friendly and safe environment where children aged 4 to 14 can learn and enjoy the game of basketball. Our experienced coaches not only focus on developing our students' basketball skills but also their social skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, our coaches evaluate students basketball level. After the evaluation process (which happenes first day of practice), we designate student to his/her appropriate team based on his/her age and basketball level.
We work with each student to improve their overall game. My training sessions include, ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, body coordination, and court awareness. We will also work to enhance your speed and explosion, improve footwork and flexibility and develop body strength. Throughout the year, our team travels and host other teams at home to compete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Giorgi is a founder of Brooklyn Hoopsters Inc. He fell in love with basketball at age 5 after he watched the movie "Space Jam" (staring Michael Jordan) and has been in love and been involved in the game since then.
Giorgi Koguashvili played for his U16 Georgian Basketball National Team. He moved in the US at the age of seventeen and continue his Basketball carrier in the US. Gio went to Mountain State Academy in Beckley, West Virginia, where he played for Boys Varsity team in his 10th Grade. Mountain State was ranked within the top-25 high school teams in the country. On his Senior year, Gio moved to Chattanooga, TN and played for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, where he averaged 19.5 Points and 6.5 Rebound and became Hall of Famer for the school.
Giorgi received full athletic Scholarship at Union University in Jackson, TN where he started 10 consecutive games as
freshmen. On his Junior year, Gio transferred to University Minessotta @ Crookston, Where he pursued his bachelor's degree majoring in business management and minoring in economics at the University of Minnesota - Crookston on the full basketball scholarsh
