Jon Ogeleza (Coach Jon)
About
Simply Put. Consistency!
As a Trainer/Coach and also a former student athlete, keeping a rhythm is key. Whether it maybe through mental practice or physical repetition, you as an athlete must continuously challenge and improve your craft. I am not a coach that favors the glits and glamor and tricks with the Baksetball. Fundamentals, and buidling on those fundamentals consistenly is where my service can be essentail for any and every basketball player.
Energy
The energy is best part of the sessions, Especially within the sport itself. While growing up in the inner city, the park and playgrounds were very competetive at times. Yet at a young age I loved the energy that flowed withing the game, heart of the players, connection of the team, and support of the audience. Yes even the playgrounds in those days felt like mini arenas. So I dedicated my craft towards bringing the consistent energy and competitiveness to the highest levels of competition.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teach in which can also mentor you and your game. Not run your game or you life. You as a student may be in a better position then the coach when looking back on thier journey through the game. Find a fitting coach/teacher that will be honest but always open to hearing the suggestions of the students. we all learn from one another each and everyday, make sure your coach can also listen just as good as give direction.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
