Hello! I am a singing fanatic and would love to get to know you and your voice.

I have performed professionally in classical concerts, opera and musical theater, and I have experience teaching students of all ages and experiences. I have a master's degree in Voice Performance with studies in vocal pedagogy. This gives me a strong, practical understanding of how the voice functions. I am enthusiastic, attentive, and care about each individual student in a unique way that is special to his or her voice and musical journey!

I absolutely love singing and music! This has been my greatest passion and favorite means of expression my entire life. It brings me intense joy to share my passion with eager students. When somebody is interested in learning more about music and singing, I jump at the opportunity to be a part of their journey. I hope that I can be a part of your musical journey as well!

Ive had a lot of musical experience, including singing in choirs and a cappella groups, but i had never had formal vocal training before Dustin. He was careful to break things down to the very basics, starting with the breath, in a friendly and structured manner. From a small handful of lessons, ive become much more aware of the mechanisms that produce my vocal sound, and am better able to recognize issues and self-correct when singing on my own. The lessons have given me a great basis for further practice, and i find myself coming back often to the exercises and techniques that i learned from Dustin.

As a bonus, its practically impossible not to get along well with Dustin, which helps create an atmosphere conducive to the useful but funny-sounding vocal exercises---like breathing with resistance, and the siren---which, if done in the street, might otherwise draw perplexed glances from passersby. Highly recommended!
