About

NY CPR & Emergency Training, a division of RapidLabwork.com was founded by active EMS responders, and field phlebotomists, who were out in the field and saw constant need for CPR and basic first aid to be taught and known by the masses. The average response time for an Ambulance to arrive on scene of an emergency, can take several minutes. The initial response and the chain of survival show that the faster the CPR and First Aid is administered, the better the outcome will be for the patient.

To date, NY CPR & Emergency Training has trained people in all walks of life, and people of all professions.

From BLS, for the Professional Rescuer, to Heartsaver CPR/AED for the laymen, to the K-12 for those in teachers and caretakers.

Additional courses offered are as follows:

Bloodborne & Airborne pathogen, BLAST! (Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training) PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) Oxygen Administration, etc.

Primarily, our classes are conveniently located at our Brooklyn facility, or at the location of your choice. (Depending on committed class size and instructor availability)

Our instructors are all AHA, ARC, and/or ECSI accredited, and are all active EMS personnel with real life experience. Besides for being classroom teachers, you can learn from active EMS responders with actual hands on experience from out in the field.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, when a new student reaches out, our first interaction is to learn what the student is looking for and what the student is taking the class for. This helps us understand which certification and discipline the student needs. Once we establish that, we are able to offer the appropriate curricullum, and credentialling agency. We currently offer courses from American Heart Association®, American Red Cross® and Emergency Care and Safety Institute®.

All of our instructors are Emergency Medical Professionals, including NREMT, EMT, Paramedics, and other Emergency Medicine professions that relate directly to delivering services to patients. Our instructors teach with first hand knowledge and experience of the subjects and classes we are teaching

While our pricing is competitive, our pricing depends on many factors, including the class size, class location, credentialing agency, as well as the curriculum.

After spending many years as EMS responders and learning about the need for more awareness and individuals trained in CPR, First AID, etc., we embarked on the mission to begin offering the traing so people know what to do and how to respond to emergency situations.

To date, our students consist of Doctors, RNs, Nursing Students, Medical Students, School Teachers, Clergy, Daycamp Administratos and Counselors, Pharmacists, Daycare Center Employees, as well as Babysitters, Moms to Be, Nannys, and regular laypeople interested  being able to assist in emergency situations.

Look to hire an experienced teacher who not only has experience teaching, but also has experience applying the knowledge in the field in real life.

Simply ask yourself and understand why you are doing what you are doing. Understand that you are not just taking the course to receive the certificate for a work requirement. Take the course and join the medical field in the quest to make the world a safer and better place.
