I am NY State Certified Teacher in Adolscent Mathamatics Education with a MA from Hunter College Graduate School one of the best teaching programs in the city. Currently I am subsitute teaching. In addition I'm a highly enthusastic and passionate tutor who will explain things in 10 different ways if needed for a student to understand and grasp the concept they are learning.
I enjoy helping students overcome their struggles with math by helping them relate to it in everyday terms. I feel math is a key to life and its important for everyone to understand it and be able to use it in their daily lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I first like to gauge their knowledge of a subject by doing a few simple problems and have them explain to me what they are doing and why they are doing it that way.
In addition before working with a new student I ask the student or the parent what the student has been working on in school, what they are struggling with and what they are hoping to get from the tutoring session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a NY State Certified Adolscent Mathematics Teacher. I have a MA from Hunter College Graduate school in Adolscent Mathematics Education. I also have a BA in Finance from the University of Arizona.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing. My prices range from $75 an hr to $100 an hr depending on the travel time.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching because I enjoy Math and I wanted to help the young minds of tomorrow. I feel I am a very approachable teacher and someone the students can relate to and learn from.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from grades 6 and up.
