What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by finding out what they are looking to achieve and what there personal style or like are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my painting training at the age of 5. I took classes up until pre college at Ringling school of art where I won a scholarship based on my skills. I attended the Savannah college of art and Design where I got a BFA in painting and a miner in print making. I won several achievement awards from Savannah. I then took a brake from school work at an art school for children in Seattle. And then I attended Pratt institute for graduate school. I am currently an active artist working in oil paint, water color, airbrush and meany other mediums. I'm teaching at a few schools so my schedule will alter after each semester.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charg depending on privet lessons vs. group. You can purchase 5 lessons at one time for a discount. My average price for a 2.5 hour adult lesson is $120. My first lesson is $75.
if you wish to throw an art party my rate will be different.
You can split a lesson with one friend for $150 all together!
I recomend taking at least 8 classes of intro to painting or intro to oil painting .
How did you get started teaching?
i have bin teaching art for as long as I can remember. The kids next door, when my art teacher got sick, to college classmates, and then at a kids camp, party's and now adults as well.
