Welcome to my music studio! I have been teaching for many years and love sharing music with students of any and every age. In addition to teaching lessons, I am also a board certified music therapist based in Brooklyn, NY.
I love teaching music and operate under the philosophy that everyone is inherently musical. I work with my students' strengths to help them flourish musically while filling in the gaps of their education making them more wholistic musicians.
I teach standard lesson material (technique, scales, etudes, repertoire, etc.) supplemented with "fun / student songs." The ratio split depends on the student - some do 90% fun and 10% lesson material, and others split it 50 / 50. I help each student come up with a personalized lesson plan depending on their music background, goals, and genres or styles of interest.
I can work with students on music theory, composition, improvisation, sight reading, and much more! I teach piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, flute, trumpet, flugelhorn, and saxophone.
My studio is a safe space for all individuals and I respect and value each person for who they are.
