I'm a graduate with a BFA in Classical Instrumental Performance. I have performed with the Brooklyn Wind Symphony, The Chelsea Symphony and most recently Utopia Opera, among many other ensembles. I have over 10 years of experience teaching people of all ages in groups as well as teaching flute and beginner piano privately. With each lesson, I target what the student wishes to learn, what they can improve on, and move forward based on goals we create. All within an environment of trust in ones abilities and using personalized teaching methods that work for each student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to talk with the potential student about their goals, past musical experiences, their motivations and most importanly what they're looking to get from the lessons. I think it's important to always have open communication so that the student feels comfortable expressing how they feel about the material and I as a teacher can provide them constructive criticism and insight.

My rates are afforable and reasonable, and are based on the length of the lesson.
