Weinbach Music Lessons
About
Many years of experience playing the saxophone, guitar, singing, and songwriting. I offer lessons that are molded to the student's interests and skill level. Depending on the kind of music the student enjoys will determine how I lead the lesson. I also enjoy introducing my students to different genres of music and artists that they may have not heard in the past. Overall, I'm pretty down-to-earth. Depending on your experience, with my lessons, you'll learn to read music, train your ear, sight read, and properly play the instrument and we'll eventually delve into a deeper understanding of music theory. I try not to be too earnest and strict because I think it's important for the student to have fun. I take a youthful approach to teaching: I attempt to find common ground with the student and relate to them on some level that might not even have to do with music (although relating on a musical level is obviously preferred). Under my guidance, students often actively pursue their desire to further their musical studies. And, more importantly, they have fun doing so. Playing music is fun, and it should be taught and learned that way.
I love music and can't go a day without listening to it. It's even better when I'm producing it. I'm always creating music, whether I'm sitting down at the piano and actively writing a song or I'm singing or whistling something to myself as a walk down the street. Playing and teaching music isn't a job as much as it's my life's work. I'm lucky enought that I get to make a living off of my greatest passion. I love performing for people: something about playing live to people and captivating their ears and eyes to the point of complete focus...there's nothing else like that. Even when someone's receiving a level of joy out of my recorded music, it's nice to know I'm eliciting some sort of emotional response. I thrive on the idea that I can teach others to, perhaps, eventually be able to experience that same feeling.
