Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first step is getting to know the person. Knowing what they like or dislike. Talk about their project and goal of the photoshoot. Brainstorm ideas and come up with different locations for the shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I like to learn by a hands-on approach, so here are some workshops that I have attended
-Storytelling for Photographers (Chautauqua Institute) Martha Rial, 2016 -Documentary Photography (Maine) Massimo Bassano, 2010
-The Magic Moment: (Oaxaca Mexico) Constantine Manos, 2006 -Portraiture: South America (Peru) Phil Bourges, 2005-Camera Exposure: (Pennsylvania) Joe and MaryAnn McDonald, 2004
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best advice is to make sure that you are comfortable working with that person and make sure you like the work that they produce.
