Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each new student starts with a skill assessment to evaluate their strengths, weaknesses, and overall basketball IQ. From there, I create a customized training plan focused on fundamentals, confidence, conditioning, and game performance. Progress is tracked consistently, and training is adjusted as the athlete improves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve coached students from 4th through 11th grade at the high school level. I’ve been doing individual basketball training for the past 5 years and running skill development clinics for the last 2 years, focusing on fundamentals, player confidence, and game IQ.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes.
• Individual Training: $80 per session
• Discounted packages are available for consistent weekly training
• Small group training, team workouts, and clinics are offered at custom rates
All sessions include skill development, conditioning, and performance improvement.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started by helping young athletes improve outside of regular team practices. As players began seeing real improvement, parents started requesting more training. That grew into structured private training, clinics, and team development programs.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with:
• Beginner players
• Youth athletes (elementary & middle school)
• High school athletes (JV & Varsity)
• Travel and AAU players
• Athletes preparing for school tryouts and tournaments
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my favorite recent events was a youth skill development clinic where several players showed major improvement in ball handling, confidence, and decision-making. Seeing their growth in such a short time was extremely rewarding.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Choose a coach who focuses on long-term development, not just drills. Look for someone who tracks progress, challenges you mentally and physically, and truly cares about your growth both on and off the court.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should ask themselves:
• What are my basketball goals?
• What skills do I need to improve most?
• How often can I train consistently?
• Am I willing to put in work outside of sessions?
