I have a PASSION for VISUAL EXPRESSION, and to see others learn to express IDEAS and FEELINGS, and developing learned techiques. To see young people learn they have the ability to 'DO ART WORK' without feeling they can't. I use my knowledge and understanding of human psychology to gentle and patiently get to see what each student is about and treat them as individuals. From that, I see what their needs and wants are, as to what they want to learn, and see them learn they have grat abilities to create beautiful and meaningful pieces of art work. I also believe in letting them learn to build their knowledge, as well as CONFIDENCE, and never to 'compare themselves' to others, but to see themselves (and understand themselves) as INDIVIDUALS.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Finding out if they've had any experience using mediums, if so , what mediums, what subject matters are the used to, and what subject matters do they like. I need to always find out experiences they have begun with (if any) which helps me zero in on filling in their collective knowledge bucket, and making sure they begin with knowing basics about color, tools, techniques, blending of paints, letting them do trial texting of brushes, paints, mediums to get them comfortable. Very important to have students be comfortable with themselves, and to build their confidence level

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

ALL of my college and Masters studies are all ART related, and Graphic design/ illutsration, film/ cartooning... all visiual arts. Then using the visual arts and relating them to one another, bringing the use of different visual arts together, for example, graphic design using photograhpy, and illustration. Using a collection of art types and film making and cartooning. I have worked with man y professional teams thru my college years into my professinoal art career.
