Yelena Z Ballet Lessons
About
I'm a professional ballet artist and ballet teacher. I started dancing when I was only 5 years old and started teaching when I was 15. I danced professionally in Los Angeles and New York. For the last 3 years, I worked with several ballet theaters in Moscow and traveled the world performing as a soloist in most famous ballets, such as Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, and Cinderella.
I'm very passionate about the art of ballet. Throughout my training, I was fortunate to receive knowledge from many amazing teachers who were graduates of world-famous schools such as Vaganova, Bolshoi, Perm, Cuban and Joffrey. I personally hold a BFA from a prestigious school, North Carolina School of the Arts.
I use Vaganova method of teaching. I pay close attention to the proper placement of the hips, feet, and head, stretched out knees, legs, and long lines. I also find musically and proper dynamics crucial for executing each step correctly.
I adjust my classes accordingly to the student's needs and goals. I am capable of making my classes very academic and physically challenging as well as easy and fun.
Overall, I want my students to walk out of the class feeling joyful and satisfied.
I teach kids and adults. All levels !!
I enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of my students when they improve and discover something they didn't know or could do. before .
