English Language Teacher, Tutor, and Trainer with over 10 years experience working in strictly bilingual educational programs in Mexico and cultural immersion programs in New York City for exchange students. Was trained and certified by The Anglo American Education Group and Cambridge ESOL. Always updating and aquiring new skills via diploma courses and training workshops. The balance between preparation, experience, not to mention being a native speaker, gives us a great advantage!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A diagnostic to help evaluate levels and identify learning goals, then it is right to work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Cambridge ESOL certification as an oral evaluator, Profesisonal Deveopment through The Anglo Mexican Foundation, TKT testing, amongst a variety of others.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
10 and 20 hour blocks worth 120 and 200 dollars, respectively. This is for individual tutoring lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I was inspired by a few of my own teachers growing up and was given the opportunity head-on when I got married and moved to Mexico out of university. Since then it has been an ever-changing landscape of teaching opportunities and experiences.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly Latin American and European students with at least a pre-intermediate level (A2) ranging up to C1 (advanced) students who have taken TOEFL and Cambridge tests or prepared for job interviews and professional competencies.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The pandemic has been an eye-opening experience to the fact that everyone should be learning something.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone with similar personal interests and teaching-learning style. A good sense of humor is also important!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have they taken a diagnostic test before?
Do they learn better alone or with others?
How important is a school environment to them?
