What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I review what they have created so far and then decide what areas they are weak and strong on. I come up with a plan from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Primarily self-taught over 30 years but have studied with Tom Lynch, Zoltan Sabo, Bob Ross & Gary Jenkins.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually price my classes at $50 for 1 hour. I use online instruction as it is both convenient for the student as well as for me. It also keeps the students' costs lower.
How did you get started teaching?
My paintings and instruction style got the attention of trade show representatives. Because for the shows, I then began to instruct in art shops from Maine to Virginia. Eventually I was on The Today Show teaching Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda how to paint.
What types of students have you worked with?
My art door was never closed to anyone, so I taught just about everyone from 3 to 93, Adults , Children, Special Needs individuals
