About
I received my Bachelor’s degree in music education from Five Towns College. In addition to private lessons in piano every semester, my piano training included performance in several ensembles including Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab, and Great American Songbook. I also taught private piano lessons and accompanied the children’s choir at St. Gerard Majella Roman Catholic Church during my studies.
Over the past 7 years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching piano to students ranging from young beginners to advanced players. The musical interests of my students range from Mozart to K-Pop and everything in-between. I’ve found that when students feel their work has a purpose and are able to connect what they are learning to their personal goals, whether it be playing piano in church, performing their favorite Chopin piece, or just learning a few jazz chords to make lo-fi beats, they are more engaged, self-motivated, and eager to practice.
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore these musical interests during lessons tailored to their unique learning style. As an educator, I enjoy sharing my passion for music with students and nothing is more fulfilling than seeing that excitement reflected back as they make their own breakthroughs.
Wherever you're at, I would love to help you take the next step toward realizing your music goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first lesson I try to find out what the student already knows. I also ask students about their goals and work with them to create a plan to get them there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Music degree from Five Towns College where I studied music education with a concentration in piano/voice. I currently teach general music and choir at Stony Point Elementary in North Rockland Central School District. I have several years of experience teaching private piano lessons in Westchester county.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
60 Minutes $100
45 Minutes $70
30 Minutes $50
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A piano teacher may be a great concert pianist, but if your goal is to learn jazz improvisation, they may not be the best fit for you. Make sure your teacher understands your goals and can teach you what you would like to learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should reflect on what their goals are for piano. If their goal is to play piano for their church, they should consider finding a piano teacher with a lot of experience as a church pianist. Similarly, if their goal is to play piano to help them write their own music, they should consider finding a teacher with songwriting experience.
