About

Hi! I have been studying and working as a voice and speech coach for over two years. In that time, I have been apprenticed under many voice coaches, both old school and new. I have learned the techniques of learning a new accent, accent modification and improving vocal production for people of all ages.

I am passionate about bringing people to a place of more confidence with their voice, and providing them the tools to speak clearly and proudly in their home, career and life. Having hated my voice for many years, my beliefs in teaching are foundationally based in helping my clients develop a shame-free relationship with expanding the potential of their speech skills.

Additionally, I am a trained actor and dramatic literature scholar: I love to tutor and coach actors, teach classics from dramatic literature like Shakespeare or Theatre for Young Audiences!

I am able to provide affordable, practical voice sessions for clients of any background.

As a person who lived in shame about my voice for a long part of my life, I am ecstatic when I see clients become excited about the strides they make towards a voice they love.

    Frequently asked questions

My motto: let's work smarter, not harder.

I begin by having an initial conversation about the student's goals, their time frame, and what brought them to exploring their voice. After we are on the same page, I conduct a full idiolect analysis of each client, focusing on the parts of their voice that make them unique. From there, I put together our game plan and suggest practical ways for us to work together towards their voice goals. I may give a bit of homework and suggest outside instruction, but voice habits are built over a lifetime, so frequent repetition is key!

I have trained at the Georgia Governor's Honors Program with a focus in Theatre Performance and English, at the University of Connecticut for a B.F.A. in Acting, and at Theatre Academy London where I specialized in Shakespeare.

At every institution that I trained as an actor, I grew specifically fascinated with my voice classes. I am happy to pass on the diverse and various methods of voice and speech training that I have learned from 8+ vocal teachers at the collegiate and professional levels.

I charge hourly at afforable rates. For pricing details, please contact me at [email protected].

I live in a pretty wooded area in Connecticut, and surprisingly found a stream. The rest of the trail in my backyard followed along the creek, and I was able to observe some pretty neat wildlife along the way.

What about your voice are you uncomfortable with? Why are you seeking a change? Are you changing your voice for you, or someone else? How serious are you about committing five to fifteen minutes a day, outside of lessons, to working on your voice?
