About this pro

Julio Bocca Dancer and Tango Master Dardo Galletto partnered with Metropolitan Opera Dancer Alonso Guzman to offer the best private dance training in Manhattan. We offer Group and Private Training of Argentine Tango and Classical Ballet. Upon request, Alonso may also teach Salsa dancing and Contemporary. Is not necessary to bring a couple for private Tango class. But if you do, we happily express that we teach private Tango class to both hetero and gay couples.

Classes are based in Dardo Galletto Studios.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Depends on student's needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Tango training in both Argentina and New York. Then extensive Ballet and Contemporary training in the states.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We prefer to meet in studio and talk for prices if needed. Tango is a complex technique that requires lots of time, passion, and commitment.

How did you get started teaching?

Naturally through the love of dance.

What types of students have you worked with?

All types, all ages, all body compositions.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Alonso himself, Tango trained by Dardo, was featured in Dannon 2017 World Youth Soccer Games representing Argentina.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

We are teachers trained to help the student find themselves in movement. Not just teach dance steps.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

It's the student happy? Learning? Growing? Changing?
