About
I have played baseball my entire life and have coached it my entire adult life. I began working with Little League students at Frozen Ropes during my college summers and holiday breaks. Eventually post graduation I became a teacher and began coaching my schools middle school baseball team. After I changed schools I was offered the position of Varsity Baseball Head Coach for Brooklyn Friends School. I truly enjoy working with players of all ages because no matter what age there are different breakthroughs to celebrate and different variables to work on. I rely highly on building relationships with my players in order to build trust on the field and in my coaching. The mental side of baseball is just as important as the physical abilities and I encourage my players to tap in to that cerebral side of the game with positivity and strategy.
I love working with players who are dedicated to having fun while also improving their game. Getting to celebrate breakthroughs with players and watching their confidence in their game grow throughout a season is the biggest reward for me as a coach.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would encourage a phone call/email exchange prior to our first practice to understand what the athlete wants to work on and what he/she enjoys most and is looking forward to learning. I can customize our practice lesson plans to accomplish the players goals. I can also provide an overall practice where we work on fundamentals and then narrow down the players areas of improvement for future practices.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
