I tailor each Private 1-on-1 Training session based on your child’s position & skill set. Our basketball staff includes coaches who played all five positions at the various levels of college basketball, including the NBA, NBDL & various Overseas Leagues. We will guide your child through various drills & more importantly explain their use. We will teach the fundamentals that will enhance your child’s understanding of the game while playing and what to look for when watching the game. We will connect your child with an appropriate coach and a schedule to fit your needs. For group lessons, we will determine which coach best fits the needs of the group and outline a workout for all participants focusing on the necessary skills and fundamentals.
I enjoy when players have that 'aha' moment. The moment they pick up on exactly what I am teaching and can apply it to their game.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assessment is done and based on the skills set of the particpant(s) a plan is put in place based on the amount of lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Played college basketball on the D3 level and started a college coaching career in 2007 and have been coaching ever since on men’s and women’s side of the game. 2 masters, in coaching and conditioning and exercise physiology. Been working in the youth sector as well since about 2011 as a coach and recreation specialist. Came on at Basketball City as the Youth Basketball Director in 2016 and have been working with over 4000 kids in our various programs ever since. Fostered a partnership with the Jr. NBA and USA Basketball and spent time with both on Youth Basketball Guidelines in regards to teaching and training of the game. Hired coaches from every level of basketball, including current and former overseas players to assist in our teaching of today’s youth. This helps give kids a well-rounded experience while they are under our care.

How did you get started teaching?
I was asked to coach as an assistant at my alama mater after graduating college(2007). I had always been a captain and had a high basketball IQ. Everything took off from there and I have been working with kids, HS, college and Pro players ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids as young as 9 and pros in the NBA and overseas pros as well.
