About

I have 20 years of cello experience in performing and teaching throughout the world with more than 15 years abroad experience (France, England, USA, Canada). I am bilingual in French and English and can teach in either language. I have just moved from Paris where I taught private lessons at the American School of Paris.

Over the years I have performed various styles of music asides from my classical training, including pop, electronic music, and hip-hop.

I have great experience with both children and adults, exercising great patience, energy and resourcefulness in creating individual lesson plans to encourage my students and keep them motivated in learning and advancing. Lessons should always be fun and rewarding!

I am very proud and happy to say that many of my students have gone on far with the cello, some on to pursue cello professionally and enrolling in conservatory schools to build their careers as cellists.

Amalia is a wonderful cello teacher and person. She is knowledgeable and patient, I think her best quality is willing to stick to a concept until its right. I’m just a few sessions in I can already see the progress I am making towards being a better cellist.
If you’re looking for an amazing cellist, look no further!
Thanks Amalia!

I didn’t think I could pick up the cello at my age and get so far with it (I’m 47) but she’s been incredible with me. She’s patient and fun and has a really insightful way of explaining new techniques. If I struggle she always finds resourceful ways for me to get through it. She’s a really great cello teacher. I’m truly glad I chose her.

My son likes her. I honestly can say enough good things about her.
Looking forward to see her again!
