Accent Reduction / Master A Language
About
Ryan De Leeuw is a Canadian linguist, polyglot and musician whose passion for languages is evident in the 13 that he currently speaks. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from McGill University, specializing in Phonetics/Phonology with a double minor in Russian and French. He worked as an online tutor throughout his college days, teaching mostly Linguistics, French, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and of course, English. After graduating, Ryan spent a year traveling and teaching English to children and working adults abroad. Having worked in the translation and interpretation industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided it was time to get back to doing what he does best: helping others master a new language through his own passion and experience!
Apart from having an excellent understanding of what it takes to learn a language (both from his educational background and personal learning experience), the fact that Ryan speaks so many languages means that there is a high chance he also speaks yours! This in turn helps him understand the differences that exist between English and your native language, allowing him to identify and overcome any potential difficulties with ease.
FUN FACT: Blessed with perfect pitch (the ability to identify or re-create any given musical note), Ryan spends his free time working on music and studying language #14 and #15: Japanese and Tagalog!
