Guitar Lessons With Kenton

I quit guitar when I was a kid because I didn’t really have the money to get lessons, now that I’m an adult I started lessons with Kenton and it’s been great. I slacked a bit when I was supposed to practice a song I wasn’t interested in, and he remembered a band I said I liked from 4 months ago in our first session we had and showed me how to do the strum pattern, effectively switch chords. And gave tips on how to get a foundation down for singing with the guitar without losing time. Then when the lesson was concluded it went a bit longer of us just chatting. That’s something he does a lot instead of just being a teacher who shows how to do something answers questions and that’s it. He goes beyond that and takes extra steps to keep someone a bit more easily side tracked engaged. And if you ever say something similar to “ah man I’m not doing great, maybe guitar isn’t for me”. He’ll motivate you. So no matter if you’re an adult realizing you wanna learn or if you’re finding a teacher so your kid can learn, this is the teacher.

Kenton is great! He has been teaching my 12 year old son and my son loves it! My son is not one to come out of his shell and Kenton had him smiling and talking from lesson one! He took something my son liked to do and taught him to love it!

I wanted to play & sing my fiance a song for our wedding and I used to play clarinet so I figured picking up a guitar and teaching myself would be easy; boy was I wrong! Kenton has never made me feel embarrassed for being a newbie, is always super encouraging, and even when schedules get thrown off by the unexpected, he is a super easy human to work with! I feel blessed to have met him and I hope to continue my lessons, learning, and friendship with him long after the wedding. :)

Kenton is extremely personable and makes sure to celebrate the tiniest of victories. He is very encouraging when I want to learn something new!

Super relaxed and easy going and works on things based on your interests. He makes sure to keep things fun and exciting so you’re not dragged down with theory.

Kenton is the perfect instructor for my son. He is kind, patient and supportive and ny son has a blast when they are working together. U could not be happier!
