Nick Palazeke Percussion
About
Hello! My name is Nick Palazeke, and I am a professional musican and educator living in Upstate New York. I have been playing music since 2001,when I was ten years old. Over the past several years, I have picked up several different instruments and discovered that I have a passion for playing drums and percussion.
My credits include performances with the Capital Region Wind Ensemble, Terry Adkins and the Lone Wolf Recital Corps, the Capital District Marching Band, the Skidmore College Community Wind Ensemble, the Capital Repetoir Theater, the Mac-Haydn Theater, The Troy Actor's Guild, and numerous other theaters and ensembles. I have also been building up an extensive discography that includes work for the bands I Was A Hero, Desafinado, Daemon Black, Wipe Out Marshall, Par 6, Yeah Universe! and As We Age.
Original music has always been a passion of mine and I have toured the country extensively with projects such as Par 6, I Was A Hero, and Tex Railor's Doomtown. Currently, my projects are Desafinado (an alt-rock band from Schenectady, NY), Victory Soul Orchestra (soul/fuck/afro-beat) and Yeah, Universe! (an experiemtental percussion/electronic/drum'n'bass studio project). I also play for singer-songwriter Daemon Black and do studio work for numerous other groups.
Education is a passion for me, and I am currently teaching personal drum lessons out of School of Rock Albany as well as my own private studio. In the past I have served as the front ensemble caption-head for the Mohonasen Marching band, where I co-founded the Mohonasen Indoor Percussion Theater. I am also the leader of the drumline for the Capital District marching band.
