Coach Blakes Basketball Training
About
I have served student athletes as an NCAA certified coach for over 20 years. I'm the Director of Basketball Operations for the Aim High Eagles AAU Program in Queens, NY where I coach 12U, 13U and 18U. I'm the Boys JV Head Coach at Kennedy Catholic Prep in Somers, NY (CHSAA).
In addition, I have been involved with some top College and High School camp programs like Five Star Camp, St. Dominic Camp, DePhillip Sports and St. John's University. I have trained/coached student athletes from 2nd grade (CYO Level) through High School (NYC CHSAA 'AA') including College players (Division I) on both private One-on-One, Small Groups, Team Size clinics and AAU travel teams.
Having played all positions from a young age up to Middle School but mainly the Point Guard position up to College, I am capable of coaching and teaching All positions.
I tell all my students that it's important to learn to become a complete player rather than focusing on one particular position. Our game has evolved drastically over the years, so it's important that we evolved and adapt as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I design my training specifically on each Individual Athlete/Group's Age/Ability, their realistic Short/Long term goals along with my recommendation based on observation and feel through previous workouts.
I combined my old school Principles/Fundamentals with a new style approach that is tailored to challenge a Player/Group outside of their comfort zone while building their confidence, skill set, conditioning and increasing their decision making.
