What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process involves teaching the student the medical and physiological aspect of cpr. I'm constantly asking questions,so that the student is able to understand what are causes of cardiac arrest and the importance of providing high-quality cpr. I want every student to understand their role once they are trained in cpr. I want them to know that they can be the difference maker between life and death for any victim in cardiac arrest. Since the course is also hands on, each student will be able to identify the exact location to place their hands for effective chest compressions. For me, itsbeing able to see the joy in their faces as they are learning this life saving technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed American Heart association Basic Life Support Instructor. I'm also a licensed American Safety & Health Institute Instructor. MY company is a Training Site for the American Heart Association and a Training Center for the American Safety & Health Institute.
