About
One of the best feelings I've had as a guitar teacher is playing alongside my students. Once my students are at a place where they can play consistently, I have students of the same level get together and play songs with each other.
Guitar is my passion and this passion is the drive for my classes. Everytime I finish a lesson, I walk out proud that I am able to productively change someone's life and give them a skill that they will have anywhere they go. In short, I'm in it for the process

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start my first lesson by breaking down the guitar by its parts. I follow with the most basic chords. Once my students have a solid foundation on chords, I move to scales and note reading.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Playing in concerts, shows, and bars, July 2021 marks my 8th year playing guitar. I've been teaching for the past 4 years.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started teaching my younger cousins. Now I teach at workshops in schools weekly.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages 7-14. Each one is very motivated to learn. When they occasionally lose that motivation, practicing at least 30 minutes everyday helps them get back on track.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they know what they are talking about through research.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are they motivated enough?
Can they dedicate 30-60 minutes a day for practice?
Are they ok with discomfort if they know it will lead them to success?
