About
I pride myself in the work I do as an art teacher. I am extremely passionate about what I do and it comes through. Everyone who works with me sees my excitement to teach and it is contagious. I would say i'm a lot of fun to work with and my students come out with wonderful results. Right now where I work in a high school the students cant wait for my class and yell my name in the hallway in excitement when they see me!
I make sure everyone feels happy with what they are doing no matter what level they are on. I make sure everyone has a higher self esteem by the time they leave my class.
I love doing art myself and I really love to give over that excitement to my students. I love to be creative and out of the box. Art is a place where there are no mistakes. For me what may seem like a mistake becomes a new exciting challenge. This is especially true since its not a formal art class and there are no grades and there is no reason to be afraid to expremint amd have fun along the way.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would fist see what they have done and see what they want to focus on in terms of going forward. I am very student based. I always like to see what they are gaining from the class. I would try certain things with my new student and if certain things don’t work I am always very flexible and love to try out new things.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying art since I was very little. I took my first art lessons when I was ten and continued till I got my formal training in college. I went to stern college together with fit for college where I majored inart and minored in psychology. I continued to graduate school in queens college where I got my masters in Art Education

How did you get started teaching?
I’ve always had a passion for art and I love to share my passion with others. I love worki f with people and this is a great way to do something that I love and I’m so passionate about.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with all types of students. I work with all ages from age 3 to 103+ I work differently depending on the age of course. Currently I’m working as a high school teacher at Ezra Academy and I have a wide range of students there. I work with kids who know nothing about art and don’t care to be there up till the most talented students who are so interested and I’m able to push them along and become even greater. I have learned the different techniques necessary to even attract those students who are forced to take the class and don’t want to be there.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently ran a paint night for about 50 women. It was really very special working with each one at their own level and always making sure that everyone feels good about the process as well as the results. I think it’s so important to build people up through their art work and never put them down. I always look for the positive when looking at someone else’s artwork and make sure to make people feel good while enhancing their art at the same time. I’ve had feedback from that event and othe paint nights that I have done that I always made people feel good and enhanced their self esteem while working with them on the painting.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I’d say it’s really important to find someone who cares about you and helping you. Make sure you work well Withto teacher as a person and they have the right personality for you to be comfortable with. They shouldn’t have an agenda if their own, Arne ether should be asking you what you want to be focussin on at least at the beggining.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What’s re they looking to gain out of this series of classes?
