Mike Hortens Design

I am an experienced illustrator, designer and art director. I have worked in the fields of corporate, advertising and publishing. I have illustrated books for children, diagrams for young adults and college students as well as technical illustrations to be used by professionals. I bring knowledge, understanding and a sense of humor to my teaching.

I like working with shape and color. I like designing an illustration or page layout and seeing a project through from beginning to end. Because I've had to organize material and make sense of it, I can offer that experience to help designers or illustrators in making their priorities work on a page.
