I am a results-focused baseball trainer. I approach each player as a student and teach accordingly. My approach is positive and results in skills acquistion without stress to the player. The player wants to get better and shows through his attendence alone that he wants to do so.
I have coached baseball for seven years and come from a data-oriented background.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the current skills and talk a lot to get the player confortable. There are good things about the player's current skill set and those will be the anchors for the rapport.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have coached baseball for seven years and have four children of differing baseball aptitudes. That personal experience informs everythign else as I understand that each player comes to work with different starting points.
I began my baseball experience as an infielder then transitioned to pitching and first base as I grew. Finally finishing in center field for my high school team.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 for a half hour at my place of business and $35 a half hour if I have to travel to your location.
How did you get started teaching?
I began as a volunteer coach for my son's Little League team and learned all the lessons of youth coaching and adult/player interaction needed to effectively teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with players looking to develop better game results at the plate and in the field. I have done this individually, in a camp setting and in a competitve team environment. Each entails a different approach.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A time commitment is necessary. There will be immediate gains but long term gains take time and repetitions to become "natural".
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do they want to do better? Some ability to self-assess is vital.
