What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Phone call or email to discuss their goals, what they know already and what areas they eant to concentrate on. We then set up a coffee shop visit and go from there. Teaching can be done in person or telecommunication.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an office manager 20 years, a bookkeeper for over 15, working with Quickbooks since 2007 and a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor for several. I haves used other bookkeeping programs over the years as well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Whats your passion? Can it integrate with bookkeeping amd accounting? The enjoyment of problem-solving and helping others should be present to be happy in this line of work. People skills, good customer service skills and a gear towards business psychology would behoove you.
