I would love to have Aneela cook everyone of my families meals! All of her meal presentations look awesome! Her ability and knowledge in the health, fitness and chef planning are very impressive.

I have known Aneela for some time and seen her personal focus in cooking, yoga and cardio. It is simple, if you want to be passionate about cooking or yoga, you need Aneela. If you want results, you need Aneela, and it all comes in a sweet, bubbly, enthusiastic package.

Aneela came to sessions prepared with a topic she wants to focus on with steps to achieve your goal(s). She NEVER made me feel bad for what I was doing, did or feel. I looked forward to our health coaching sessions. Aneela is great in the way she guides, relates to her client and how she communicates. Aneela's greatest strength is building a relationship and getting you excited about what you are doing. You can walk out with a 'can do it' attitude.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I typcially ask their level of experience, any injuries (yoga), and what they hope to achieve by the end of their lessons.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

B.A. Psychology (2015), 200 hour yoga teacher training(2015), Natural gourmet chef certification (2017), Functional Medicine Health Coach (2017)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

A typcial private lesson costs $10 for 30 minutes and $15 for 1 hour.

How did you get started teaching?

During my senior year of college, I completed my yoga teacher training as a personal means of coping with stress and to later help others achieve their own benefits from the practice. I then took a 1 year online course in Functional Medicine Health Coaching, which relied heavily on my bachelor's in psychology. I found passion in helping others set health goals and coached several individuals of different medical histories and backgrounds. I most recently became certified as a natural gourmet chef, training at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC, focused on healthy mostly plant-based cooking. I continue to learn and teach, and have find joy in both.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with students of varying ages (teens-older adults). As a yoga teacher, I have taught: mother/daughter/son, husband/wife, beginners, intermediate-advanced students. As a health coach, I have worked with individuals (1:1) or in a group setting as part of a wellness program. Age ranges from late 20s to past 60s. Medical histories of these individuals vary greatly; I have worked alongside and offside a physician.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure the student knows what they are looking for in a teacher, which may involve some research and evaluation of their own health and wellness goals. A first time meeting or phone call often helps to discuss the best options for the student.
