My name is Damon and I’ve been a guitarist for 15+ years and an instructor for 8+ years. I graduated valedictorian with my bachelor’s degree in music production from Full Sail University in 2021, and am currently working on my associates degree in guitar performance from the Musician’s Institute.
I offer lessons in guitar primarily, but also bass guitar, ukulele, music production, recording, music theory, and composition for film, games, and tv. I love teaching any style/genre of music, but my specialties are blues, rock, bluegrass, soul, neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, r&b, finger-style guitar, and fusion.
I created String Theory as a platform to provide affordable music lessons to anyone in any location, from beginners to advanced musicians!

Damon guided me into the kinds of things I was interested in learning. Every week, when I brought questions, he had good answers and advice. Ive improved a lot since I started learning from him.

Damon is kind and extremely talented. He has a way of explaining things that just makes sense. He helps you along the way with whatever you need, but never makes you bored. Damon makes me excited to play my instrument.

I wasn’t sure about online lessons at first because I thought it would just be more difficult, but it was actually much more convenient than going to a studio/school. Damon was super patient and knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. He also sends me recordings of each lesson so that I can go back and review anything I missed or forgot. If you’re considering online lessons, but feel hesitant for whatever reason, rest assured that you’re in good hands!
