About
Current Baseball Coach at Lake Erie College (D2) and Former All-Conference Collegiate Baseball Player. Ohio's #1 Ranked Baseball Coach! I understand what it takes to get your athlete to the next level using proven techniques used by the pros, as well as the most effective workout programs for baseball players.
In addition to baseball skills, mental approach is covered with great depth due to the nature of the game. Confidence, resiliency and focus are tools that need to be conditioned through repetition just like hitting or pitching. Effort and execution are emphasized. With mental muscle, athletes are free to simply play the game for what it is intended to be FUN. The process or journey is most important and a pitch by pitch approach has to be the focus for every bit of practice.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Pitching Lessons: The initial lesson will begin with an evaluation of your pitching mechanics. Velocity and control comes from efficient and effective pitching mechanics that combine maximum speed and momentum with proper direction. Deception and changing speeds is a requirement and helps my pitchers succeed at higher levels (HS, travel ball, college). More advanced pitchers work all pitches each session while also incorporating advanced velocity enhancement techniques. Arm care and other pitcher specific workout types are covered and provided in great detail. Video analysis is used for comparison purposes and to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement.
For hitters: The initial lesson will begin with an evaluation of your hitting mechanics. Power and bat control is a result of leading with the lower half, staying inside and then through the ball. Short to it and long through it. Younger players concentrate heavily on proper form and repetition while also HAVING FUN! More advanced hitters take it up a notch to discuss their approach and plan at the plate while working game like situations hitting all pitches in different counts. My hitting perspective comes from both being a hitter and pitching against hitters at the collegiate level. Video analysis is used for comparison purposes and to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement.
Hitting a baseball is the most difficult thing to do in all of sports. Round bat, round ball, moving with changing speeds and locations. Hitting lessons provide a foundation for effective, repeatable hitting mechanics leading to a higher batting average. Learn how to hit off speed pitches, jump on that inside fastball, and hit to the opposite field.
