It gives me great joy to help my students realize the unique gifts and talents within them. I want to equip you to pursue your artistic dreams!
The practice of painting and drawing is like a meditation. Creativity is a wonderful way to tap into the beauty of the natural world, and to celebrate and practice gratitude for the beautiful things in our everyday lives. For me, the act of creation is like participating in a dance with the Most High Creator of the universe.
I took one of Alison's painting classes and had a great time and learned so much. Her teaching style was fun and encouraging, while still being very impactful. She was well prepared for the class and the venue she chose made for a very eclectic, fashionable experience. Whether you are serious about becoming an artist or just looking for a way to have fun in a creative, artistic environment, I highly recommend taking one of Alison's classes.
An overall great experience. Alison is patient and brings out the best in each of her students.
The quality of teaching and the playful approach taken to learning how to paint. It was thoughtful, informative, and fun!
Alison is fantastic, she presents things step by step to get the results you want. She is encouraging and takes her time to guild you through the whole process, showing tips along the way. The results always amaze me - just love taking classes from her! Thanks
I like to see what a student's dreams and desires are, what their goals are, what they want to learn, and then tailor their projects and assignments around their goals.

I was a professor for over 10 years, and in 2014 left my job to pursue art full-time. I currently offer classes every week and my private Studio. This is a unique opportunity for students to learn in a small classroom setting while also seeing the work that I do and my studio everyday.
I have worked with students of all ages. I enjoy working with teens, adults and retirees. It's been my experience that they are very hungry to learn!
There are many things to consider when choosing a teacher. I would say the primary concern for the student would be to make sure that the teacher is sensitive to their own unique goals as a budding artist.
