About
My passion is helping you become the joyful creative person you are!
Chances are you find real enjoyment in drawing and painting. Me too! But you find it hard to make time for your artistic dreams, right? Well, you're in good company.
It's tough to grow your art all by yourself. Are you making the progress you want all by yourself? No?
I can help.
You can build significant skills in every area of your personal creativity - and have bottomless fun doing it. Let's partner to make it happen!
I am a professional artist and teacher with a long history of working with artists like you to help break down barriers so you can express yourself with confidence in painting and drawing.
My studio and teaching practice is here in Cincinnati, in Pleasant Ridge. I offer private lessons here in my first floor studio, and teach regular classes at three different locations. I've taught at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and in the Univ. of Cincinnati's award-winning DAAP program, where I earned a Master of Fine Arts degree.
You'll find complete info on my classes and artistic experience at theloveofdrawing.com, and you may call or email me anytime to talk about your creative needs.
Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you.
I grow as an artist and as a person each time I work with other artists, and I am thrilled to share in their enjoyment and progress.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching art to creative adults and young people from junior high to college for more than thirty years, and now offer classes and workshops five days a week. I have a bachelors degree in art, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the DAAP program at the University of Cincinnati. My life's work is helping creative people to reach their artistic goals through classes, workshops and private lessons.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My classes and workshops are individually priced to reflect the length of the class and the nature of the instruction; life drawing and portrait classes, for example, are priced higher to ensure the presence of a professional model for each class.
Private lessons usually run $50-60 for a 60-90 minute lesson, and supplies are often included in that price.
