About
I have worked with youth of all ages for all or parts of three decades. I am a former DII basketball and baseball player. I have been a school teacher, coach, afterschool program director, summer camp director, and much more. I put heavy emphasis on the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Proper ball handling techniques, proper shooting techniques, footwork, and conditioning are all part of a session.
What I enjoy most about the work I do is seeing kids grow and mature. It's just not about basketball with me, I'm in this to help student - athletes become an all around person. Character and leadership development, academic enrichment, health, life, and social skills are also apart of the conversations had with student athletes .

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is getting to know the student and his/hers parents. Find out what it is that they would like to concentrate on. I do an evaluation to see where we would begin. I have basic drills for beginners and I have more advanced drills as well for students who are further along in their development.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a former player and school coach. I have coached all ages from elementary through the pro level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $25 per session. I do offer packages, so the more sessions you want the cheaper the price becomes. Most people like the buy 3 get 1 free deal. $75 for 4 training sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started actually when I was a teenager working summer camps helping the younger kids.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had the opportunities to help and development young boys and girls of all ages and cultural backgrounds. I have had beginners, intermediates, and highly skilled players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of the 2018 Young People vs Violence Outdoor Summer Showcase. This is an outdoor basketball event that we have put on for the past 8 summers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to find teachers/instructors that care about them as a person, not just a ball player.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Number one question is are you ready to put the work In? What are your expectations of yourself and the trainer?
