Art Lessons With Meg
About
I am a professional mural painter and art educator. I have painted public murals in Euclid Public Library, Collinwood Recreation Center, Cudell Recreation Center, and other public and private residences throughout Greater Cleveland.
I have been an art teacher at the high school level for 16 years and I have worked with students as young as 3 and with those into retirement. I am willing to work with each individual student to provide the educational experience desired to meet their artistic potential. I am passionate about art and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with my students.
Watching students progress is what I enjoy most about the work I do. Being able to show a student a particular technique or expose a student to an artist or art movement and watch the student take that knowledge and run with it - that is my joy.
I also simply love working with art materials everyday. I love teaching students how to use these materials to express themselves artistially.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet with the student and discuss what their expectations are and then we draw or paint together. This helps to assess where I should begin with a student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a bachelor's in Studio Art - Painting and Printmaking from Ursuline College in 2000. I earned my Master's of Art Education from Case Western Reserve in 2002. I also have an Associate's degree in Graphic Design from Lakeland Community College
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start with a base fee per hour. However, pricing varies based on individual student needs. My primary concern is providing students who are passionate about art with lessons that help them reach their potential.
How did you get started teaching?
I was doing freelance art work, but, as a single mother, was unable to secure health insurance, so I started working in a charter school in Cleveland. I loved working with my students so much, that I went back to school to earn my Master's degree in Art Education
