What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to know what they know, ask what they want to learn, and proceed in their direction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught art for 40 years. I went to several Universities, Miami University, West Liberty State in West Virginia, and graduated at the Ohio State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I taught in public schools and have taught private lessons before and after I retired.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $25 for one hour or $ 40 for two hours. If I come to you there might be a travel charge.
How did you get started teaching?
I don't remember when I didn't teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages. I am now on staff at the the Columbus Parks and Rec. teaching at a senior center when they open the center back up after the vivid 19 is over.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love facepainting and creating henna at all my events-Arts in the Alley(Grove City), the Ohio Renaissance Festival, Westerville Arts Festival, Festivall in Charleston West Virginia, and many more I do each year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Choose a teacher who loves her work, but mor importantly, one who loves people and loves to teach.
