I've been a lifelong artist. My Great Grandfather taught me my colors and taught me to mix them before I was in preschool. I vividly remember it as if it were yesterday.
I work in various mediums including acrylic, watercolor, alcohol inks, resin pour overs, and much more.
I love to teach people how to paint and watch them create their own painting. Sometimes the end result surprises them! People don't give themselves enough credit for their drawing and painting skills.
I teach online and in-person! Everyone has a good time and goes home with a completed project!
I taugh cake decorating and candy making classes many years ago. I had students take all the levels and go in to create class for others. When I started the classes the store didn't have any, but when I left we had classes scheduled nearly every night of the week plus Saturday's.
I have taught paint classes at a few locations areohnd town and everyone has a great time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I take each student through the process starting with drawing 101. It all starts with the basics and I simplify it to make it easy and fun for everyone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in interior design and have taught and taken classes all my life.

I do, but it depends on what the class is.
How did you get started teaching?
I was taking classes and was given the tools to teach them on my own.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with mostly adults. I have taught children on special occasions, as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I like to attend artist events with other artists. It's a great way to come together from all walks of life and meet in person.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who's art you resonate with. Their style, what medium they use, and whether location matters to you or do you prefer online.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What supplies are covered or are needed in order to do the medium they're looking to explore. Some mediums can be more costly than others, and professional materials vs student grade also matter in cost, but also in the end result.
